What is the A.H.M.A?

The Appalachian Highlands Music Association (A.H.M.A.) is a non-profit IRS 501 c(3) organization formed in 1998 to promote, preserve, and foster Bluegrass and Old-time Music of the Appalachians. A Princeton West Virginia based corporation, the A.H.M.A. consists of volunteers and artists teamed to present Bluegrass and Old-time Music programs for members and general public.

The A.H.M.A. has a minimum of 12 members on its Board of Directors serving staggered two-year terms. Various committees conduct business of the Association with guidance from the Directors. Committees include membership, advance planning, fundraising, special events, scholarship, history, and newsletter.
